Since their inception three years ago Gay Sons and Mothers has sought to highlight and platform the very singular and important relationship between gay sons and their mothers.
While great emphasis has always been placed on the importance of fathers in our development, mothers have often been relegated to the back burner and thats when they haven’t been seen as the vectors for “making us gay.”
Founder Rick Miller:
After being often blamed for making their sons gay in the 70’s, moms now get the recognition they deserve for raising beautiful sons.
Miller founded the non-profit in 2018 after recognizing that nobody had researched the power of the bond between gay sons and their mothers — with great results. Because of his efforts, mothers are recognized for empowering their sons and contributing to their mental well being.
