#Throwback To Teens Migrating From Facebook To Comments Section Deer Video: HUMOR

Share

With Twitter in disarray and folks arguing whether to migrate to Mastodon or return to Tumblr in case the site goes down as Elon Musk tears it apart, we were reminded of the time The Onion suggested that teens were leaving Facebook to the comments section of slow-motion deer video on YouTube.

Meanwhile a guy named Mike sent us an email saying:
Last night Twitter it felt like the last day of summer camp. Everyone saying goodbye, maybe collecting each other’s contact info, wondering if they will ever see each other again.
Talk of alternatives, Bluesky, Mastodon, and others but it’s Thursday morning and a new social media platform has quietly been taking on a little life of its own. It was inspired by this piece from The Onion and has come to life.
Here is the site.
Personally, I have had some of the more unique and strange experiences on Remora than I’ve experienced on the internet in years. It’s weird normally I avoid the comment section of everything but this is a little different. Kind of reminds me of a much earlier time on the internet.
Has social media gone from a blue bird to a remora fish? Who knows but this is definitely one of the more interesting takes on what might be next for social media.
