This LGBT Art Fair Features A Life-Sized ‘NFT Swimming Pool’

Featuring 25,000 square feet of art, 360 view of Biscayne Bay, and a ground-breaking exhibit dedicated entirely to NFTs, the contemporary art fair highlighting LGBTQ+ artists will make a make a bigger splash than ever MARCH 10-13, in the city where it debuted six years ag0,with additional Superfine fairs slated in LA, DC, SF, and Seattle throughout March and April.

Comprised of 75 individual NFTs by a wide range of artists from Miami and around the world, the first in person/NFT hybrid art fair will feature cleverly placed screens and projections located within a life-sized swimming pool-inspired ‘Dive Into NFTS’ lounge, designed by Miami artists, Jeffrey Noble and Allison Matherly, aka We Are Nice’N Easy, complete with pool floats, boogie boards, and ‘Sunny-Isles-style’ tiled benches with built-in screens. Miami- and Miami-obsessed- street artists bringing their unique contribution to the NFT space will have their work projected, larger than life, onto the cathedral ceiling of 1111 Lincoln Road, with their NFTs dropping simultaneously during the fair’s March 10th opening. Queer artists in the space will be recognized Saturday, March 12th, during the Rainbow Pixel LGBTQ+ evening reception.

Circling the main Superfine Fair at the iconic Herzog and De Meuron Building -will be Superfine Art Week, a city-wide initiative comprised of activations up and down Lincoln Road, tours of local institutions like The Bass Museum, and a verdant Truman vodka-sponsored cocktail soirée on Saturday 3/12 in the Miami Beach Botanical Garden.

Voted ‘Best art fair in Miami’ by the Miami New Times, Superfine Founders Alex Mitow & James Miille set out to change people’s perception of the art world, forgoing the stuffiness found at most fairs. “Superfine has always been about access. Since our inception, we’ve provided a bridge for new collectors into the art world, and for independent, emerging artists to reach them,” says Miami’s own, Mitow, who attended the Univ. of Miami and discovered contemporary art on the streets of Wynwood. Business partner James Miille is a former Miami resident, whose surreal photography has featured on the side of Miami city buses, will also showcase his own work, in both physical and NFT form, at Superfine Miami Beach.

Also featuring live DJs, saxophone by Leon Morley, performance art, and complimentary craft cocktails, opening night tickets are $75 ($50 for Miami Beach residents). Day passes are also available for Friday-Sunday at $45 ($22 for Beach residents), as well as a limited number of $150 all-access passes which provide entry to VIP event at the Botanical Garden, as well as a private curator-led tour of The Bass Museum. 20% of all GA ticket sales benefit Pridelines, a local LGBTQ+ youth organization, and 20% of opening night sales benefit The Bass Museum. Additional Superfine fairs are scheduled for SF, LA, Seattle, and DC throughout the winter and spring.
