Jussie Smollett Shares New Single, Maintains He’s Innocent in Hoax Crime

Jussie Smollett released a new single Monday addressing his recent legal woes. Smollett posted the song on his Instagram account.

Smollett has released a new song. The former Empire star, who was released from jail pending the appeal of his conviction for lying to cops about a racist and homophobic attack he said he suffered, seems to address it in the single. The video begins with text that reads, “Channeling these thoughts the best way I know how, I love you.” Smollett says he is donating 100% of the song’s profits to non-profits and community groups.
