A 16 year-old gay Sardinian boy who dreams of becoming a fashion designer is at the heart of one of the best Italian movies in ages.
Directed by acclaimed auteur Marco Pollini, The Fashion Lover, shows how young Giovannino in defiance of his violent father manages to attend a fashion college in Sardinia.
He must do this while keeping his depressed mother happy and take care of his young sister and the family animals. June is here and with school rapidly coming to a close he gets a shot at dressing a famous model for a fashion show at his school.
He then understands with great design ability, comes great responsibilities, and finds a way to leave his father and go away to chase his dream.
