YA Dystopian Future Series ‘Breakwater’ Is First Snapchat Exclusive Series

Breakwater is a riveting new original series and the first to exclusively stream on Snapchat.

Set in 2041, the YA drama is set in a future where refugees are barely surviving the irreversible effects of climate change.

In the dangerous coastal slums outside the Los Angeles Seawall, people dream of winning the visa lottery to the safe zone while climate refugees like Mai, a savvy 20-year-old fixer who grew up in the Breakwater, must race against an impending hurricane to complete a mission for survival.

Breakwater stars Jan Luis Castellanos (Tall Girl 2, 13 Reasons Why), Te Ao o Hinepehinga Rauna, Jonetta Kaiser (Vampire Academy), Alan Trong (The Tomorrow War), and Felix Avitia (Raven’s Home).

Produced by Retrofit Films, this new Snap Original premieres Saturday, February 12 with ten new episodes launching every 48-hours, only on Snapchat.
