Louisiana Man Arrested for Having Sex with Pit Bull after Multiple People Record

Share

An Alexandria, Louisiana resident has been arrested for having sex with a pit bull after the Humane Society of Louisiana shared the video and was posted on Facebook.

The Alexandria Police Department arrested a suspect on Thursday night for sexually abusing an animal. Multiple reports came in about the incident, including a video posted on Facebook showing what happened.

The incident reportedly occurred Thursday night and lasted about two minutes, as reported by KALB.

The Humane Society of Louisiana shared that the man walked out of a residence on Willow Glen Road before approaching a pit bull tethered on a heavy chain. That’s when the man forced the dog to perform oral sex on him. The incident lasted about two minutes, all of which were recorded and posted on Facebook Thursday night.

Noah Tomlin, 23 of Alexandria, was identified as the suspect and was arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish jail. He’s facing one count of sexual abuse of an animal and posted a $1,000 bond around 1 p.m. Friday.

The owner of the dog has been notified about the crime. The Humane Society of Louisiana has offered to pay for a veterinary exam for the dog and will help the owner protect their dog in the future.

“We are grateful to the person who filmed this horrible crime and the work of our volunteer investigators and the Alexandria Police Department for their roles in identifying the suspect and making a swift arrest,” said Jeff Dorson, Humane Society of Louisiana Director. “While rare, these crimes need to be dealt with harshly to deter future similar criminal activity.”

Important news from the Humane Society of Louisiana: our in-house ‘pet detectives’ helped to secure an arrest of a sexual predator late last night! Around 9: 00 pm last night, Keri Bullock Toth, a good friend of ours and fellow rescuer, sent us a gruesome and disturbing video that was posted online of a young male forcing a dog to perform oral sex on him. The crime took place in his backyard in broad daylight! We can’t make this up!
I shared the video with some members of our cruelty case managers, including Mandy Rice, Christie Solano, and Robbie N Heather Darce. Mandy looked at the original post and contacted some of the people who commented. From talking to the people who commented, Mandy was able to determine the city, parish, and neighborhood where the crime took place and the first name of the suspect – two key elements that were needed to solve this case. Mandy gave this information to Rob, who immediately contacted the Alexandria Police and spoke to a dispatcher and detective. He sent them a copy of the 2.5-minute film. They watched the video, but the detective, at first, said it was an animal control issue. He was reluctant to act and said that it could wait until the morning to be investigated.
Fortunately, Rob was persistent and explained that it was a criminal matter and not an animal control issue. His persistence paid off and we are delighted to announce that the Alexandria Police charged Noah Braxton-Lee Tomin, age 23, with sexual abuse of an animal. He was booked last night into the Rapides Parish Detention Center at 11: 35.
Thanks to Rob and Mandy, we also discovered that the dog that was sexually abused belongs to a neighbor. They share the same backyard. We are in touch with the owner of the dog, and we have offered to pay for it to be examined by the dog. We’ll also try and offer the owner some suggestions on how to protect his dog in the future.
Caseworkers and Keri, congratulations! Thanks for working at all hours and helping us secure arrests and convictions all over the state. Join our team so we can keep up with our ever-increasing workload! Send your contact information and a brief bio to info@humanela.org. In the subject heading, please write “Cruelty Caseworker.”
