Trekkies Edge To Beverly Crusher Firing a Phaser Rifle in New ‘Picard’ Trailer

Paramount Plus dropped the first trailer to Star Trek: Picard‘s third and final season as part of their “Star Trek Day” celebrations on Thursday.

Star Trek day is celebrated by the company September 8, marking the anniversary that the first episode of Star Trek: The Original Series first aired on CBS on September 8, 1966.

The trailer begins like the last two Picard  seasons, an old friend needs help, in this case it’s  Dr. Beverly Crusher (played again by Gates McFadden), we then see shots of Geordi, Raffy,  and Worf joining Jean-Luc, Riker and Troi and they of course, need a starship. They then board the USS Titan and its new captain, Seven of Nine.

The money shot that’s been blowing up on nerd twitter is Dr. Crusher firing a phaser rifle at a new alien race.
