‘Peter’s Pool’ Is a Sexy Short Story Anticipating the Longing of Summer

Summer is coming and The Proud Spot posted a sexy short story that captures the chorine scented longing of adolescence: Peter’s Pool.

His hair still smelt like chlorine as I laid my head against his sun-kissed body in his basement. The room looked like an antique road show, with brass and gold figurines everywhere. It smelt stale with hints of condensation, but our aroma overpowered it. And besides, it was a safe space to escape to outside of the water.

I slid my hand against his chest, using my finger nails to slowly scratch away the rest of our afternoon. We had spent almost every morning in July together since finishing school in June.

My hand was still slippery from the residual tanning oil that I had thought already penetrated through my skin. I moaned as I felt him use his hand to slide past my thighs through the slits of my shorts. He used his hand to penetrate like the coconut scented oil that mixed with our sweat and chemicals from the pool. The same pool that we had spent so many hours in. He had also spent many hours in me.

Summer was going by so fast, but it was the first time I felt like I never wanted it to end. Usually, my grandparents would force me to visit them in Boston. They lived in a senior’s community, and I always felt like the help when I was there. Every Tom and Sally would ask me to mow their grass or fish out leaves in their pools. But this year they thankfully went on a cruise with their friends they met at pickleball, so I stayed home and met my neighbour Peter while he played basketball on the street.

He was older than me, but not by much.
From what I sensed, his parents got divorced and he moved from Tampa to Indianapolis after his mom met this new guy. Good thing she did.

Peter said he was visiting his friend in Chicago every weekend. It was the only time we didn’t get to see each other. I knew what it meant. But I had him during the week. We had our pool and that was enough.
