New York City’s New Gay Spot for Cocktails Is Immersive, Elevates the Bar

Share

The Dickens NYC is a new inclusive, immersive cocktail bar experience coming to the iconic neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. The new hotspot has been carefully crafted for the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. It will be the most prominent and first-of-its-kind cocktail bar in the area. It features four unique floors, multiple themed event spaces, private rooms with an elevated bar experience, and a full menu. The Dickens is set to open at the beginning of November, just in time for the holiday season.

The Dickens was conceptualized and founded by Bryan Hannon, a part of the PMAC’s Hospitality Group. Hannon, who has lived in NYC for over 12 years, is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and has lived and worked in bars and restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen for a decade. As a result, he has a unique perspective to apply to The Dickens concept.

“Hell’s Kitchen has been home for a long time; I’ve always felt that there was something like this missing from the neighborhood,” said Bryan Hannon, founder of The Dickens. “The Dickens is the first for Hell’s Kitchen, a premium establishment with amazing food, an elevated cocktail program, lounge areas, and space to dance. Somewhere classy but always fun for the LGBTQ+ community.”

The perfect place for a date, an after-work gathering, a corporate event, a special celebration, to bring visiting friends or family, a place to come solo and meet new friends, or just a regular night out, The Dickens provides a premium elevated experience space for all.

An adult playground of sorts, The Dickens boasts four immersive and sensory-exploding floors, including a rooftop and six bars. The Dickens’ unique floor plan features a plethora of experiences and aesthetics. With room themes such as The Dickens Cocktail Bar, an intimate 30-seat bar complete with fireplace and elegant green and gold finishes; The Genies Lounge, a nod to the inside of a genie’s lamp with walls draped in velvet, plush sofas and a fireplace; The Dark Room, based on an old photography dark room studio; The Discoteca, with a futuristic neon 80’s vibe; and The Margarita Market Rooftop with a variety of frozen drinks to indulge in. Images HERE Photo Credit- David Finlay (We will have additional photos next week, here is a great Instagram post).
