Laverne Cox Is the New Host for Live from E!

Awards season is among us, and as the red carpets begin to line up with flashing lights and dazzling attire, E! has announced that transgender actress Laverne Cox will be bringing you all of the red carpet glitz and glamour to your screen.
Cox is the new host for Live from E!, where she will be conducting celebrity-based interviews, spotlighting trendsetters, tastemakers, and those making an impact in the Hollywood community.
Cox made her big debut on-screen for her portrayal of Sophia Burset in the Netflix original series Orange is The New Black. This role led her to become the first transgender woman to be nominated for a Primetime acting Emmy and made her the first Trans woman of color to have a leading role on a mainstream television show.
She is also currently starring in the new show by Shonda Rhimes, Inventing Anna, on Netflix.
