How Dolly & Miley Created an Instant Gay Anthem on New Year’s Eve

While co-hosting her second annual Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party in Miami on Saturday, the live special’s namesake host, 30, and her godmother Dolly Parton, 76, created an iconic musical mashup.
Just minutes before ringing in 2023 the duo performed Cyrus’ breakup ballad “Wrecking Ball” from her 2013 album Bangerz. Then as Parton crooned the bridge, she subbed the lyrics “I will always want you” with “I will always love you,” before breaking into a rendition of her song of the same name.
The two divas brought the house down by blending their voices for the emotional performance and sharing an embrace.
