Sony and Marvel Studios finally dropped the long awaited first look at the upcoming Spider-Man: Now Way Home on Monday.
The movie, which has long been rumored to feature past Spideys: Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield, seems to be confirmed by the trailer which features Alfred Molina’s Dr. Octopus, and hints at Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin.

The villains, who appeared in non-MCU films starring Maguire and Garfield, will appear in the film thanks to the multiverse.
Since Disney+’s WandaVision debuted earlier this year and the conclusion of Loki and the first look at Kang the Conqueror, not too mention the title of the next Dr. Strange movie: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the idea of the multiverse seems to be the crux of what the fifth installment of the Avengers franchise will be about.
The plot itself seems flimsy. Outed by Mysterio at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Peter Parker goes to Doctor Strange seeking help to undo the damage resulting in a spell gone awry shattering the barrier between parallel universes.
Being the first trailer, it doesn’t reveal much, just enough to confirm the ultimate Marvel team-up!
