Packed crowds lined Midtown Atlanta’s streets Sunday morning as the city’s Gay Pride parade returned after a two year hiatus due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Estimates put the crowd at over 300,000.
Among those in attendance were Mayor Andre Dickens, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock, and members of the Atlanta Hawks.

Atlanta Pride who organizes the event wrote on Instagram: Atlanta, we came back better than ever! This weekend has been so meaningful and emotional to see our community gather again in Piedmont Park and throughout the city to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community. Whether you shopped at the marketplace, danced to the performances, or walked in the parade, we hope that you were able to enjoy this Saturday and Sunday with us. #AtlantaPride22
