The upcoming gay rom-com Bros wrapped shooting today according to a tweet from creator Billy Eichner.
And that’s a wrap on BROS!!! It’s too soon to say much more but this was a very meaningful experience for me. So for now I just want to say THANK YOU to a crew that worked insanely hard and a warm, hilarious, historic cast that cared so much. I can’t wait for you to see it. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/WAenv9QwJm

Variety: Set up at Universal Pictures, the Judd Apatow-produced project has been unveiling its ensemble cast over recent weeks, comprised exclusively of LGBTQ+ talent in principal roles.
Bros is described as a “heartfelt comedy about two gay men maybe, possibly, probably, stumbling towards love. Maybe.”
The Hollywood Reporter: Bros, the first gay romantic comedy from a major studio, is described as a smart, swoony and heartfelt comedy about two gay men (Eichner, Luke Macfarlane) maybe, possibly, probably, stumbling toward love. Maybe. They’re both very busy. Eichner co-wrote the script alongside Nicholas Stoller, with whom he worked on Netflix’s Friends From College. Stoller will direct and exec produce alongside Judd Apatow, Eichner and Josh Church (Trainwreck).
Among the announced cast are Benito Skinner, the sketch comic and social media star. Under the handle “Benny Drama,” Skinner started out creating original comedy skits and parodies for his YouTube channel — taking on pop culture figures like the Kardashian family and singer Shawn Mendes. HIs original character “Cooper the Gen-Z Intern” made it all the way to the White House, in coordination with the Biden administration to promote COVID-19 vaccinations.
