“These poor people live in these tiny apartments,” the director can be heard saying to a third individual as Gage prepares for a remote audition. Gage quickly pointed out the issue, and the man immediately apologized, saying he was mortified. Gage brushed things off in the moment, quipping, “I know it’s a sh–ty apartment. That’s why I need you to give me this job so I can get a better one … Listen, I’m living in a 4×4 box… It’s fine. Just give me the job and we’ll be fine.”
